Move For Melanoma is Back for its 6th Year!

Move for Melanoma is an annual event organised by the Save Your Skin Foundation to raise awareness about melanoma and support those affected by the disease. 

This activity challenge takes place across Canada, aiming to bring attention to melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer, and ocular melanoma, while raising funds to support patients affected by these diseases when they need it most.

Move for Melanoma 2024 is not just an activity challenge, but a powerful movement to raise awareness about melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer, and ocular melanoma. This event underscores the importance of sun safety and offers vital support to patients, covering costs such as treatments, travel, and accommodations. 

Why do we Move For Melanoma?

1. To Raise Awareness and Funds:

   • Join us in the fight against melanoma, ocular melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers by participating in Move for Melanoma 2024.

   • 100% of funds raised provides crucial support for patients in the form of treatment costs, travel, accommodation and other necessary but costly expenses incurred while receiving treatment. 

2. To Promote Sun Safety:

   • Learn about the importance of sun safety and the steps you can take to protect your skin.

   • Understand the risks of melanoma and skin cancers.

   • Introducing the Sun Buddy app, your personal tool for melanoma awareness, assessment, and prevention, designed with the expertise of dermatologists and Save Your Skin Foundation.

3. To Provide a Community of Support:

   • Become part of a supportive community that stands together in the fight against melanoma.

   • Share your story and connect with others who are committed to making a difference. Create or join a team today

4. To Offer Convenience and Accessibility:

   • Introducing Sun Buddy, a free easy-to-use app, making skin cancer awareness accessible to everyone.
