Since 2008, she has been involved in health-care charities, advocacy groups and non-profits. Eva is the first Quebecker and Canadian to obtain a graduate degree in Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) with a MSc. in Health Care Transformation at the University of Texas at Austin. She is also the co-chair of the Resilient Healthcare Coalition (RHC), has a VBHC Green Belt Certification from VBHC Center Europe and is their official Canadian Ambassador. Eva is a fierce patient advocate and believes strongly in the potential of Canadian health-care systems to be world-class leaders in Value-Based Health Care.

It will include new organizations created since 2021 and updated manfates for existing organizations. The webinar will also define the social determinants of health and and health inequities plus discuss the relationship between them. In addition, the roles of federal, provincial/territorial and municipal governments in various social determinants of health will be explored, as well as the systemic inequities created by the fragmentation of responsibilities in healthcare and the determinants of health. Webinar: Living with Cancer: Survivorship & Mental Wellness

This webinar will focus on the experience of cancer survivors and the importance of mental wellness from the perspective of four women with unique backgrounds and experiences in the cancer space. Shannon Gaudette, a melanoma stage 4 survivor, will talk about her physical and emotional wellbeing throughout her cancer experience. She will be followed by Antonella Scali, Executive Director of the Canadian Psoriasis Network and the daughter of a cancer survivor, who will talk about the results of a survey completed by All.Can Canada and implications for mental health and the need for psychosocial supports. Then, Kathy Barnard, president of the Save Your Skin Foundation and a melanoma stage 4 survivor, will talk about her experience as a long-time survivor. Finally, Lyanne Westie, SYSF wellness support consultant, will present on the importance of mental wellness in all aspects of life. These short presentations will be followed by a discussion between the four presenters, with time for questions from webinar attendees. Register now
