"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail"

It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to our SAVE YOUR SKIN team
-Kathy Barnard-

Cathy Steen
Cathy has been my sister Rose's long time co-worker and a great friend to our family. She is one of the most caring and genuine ladies I have ever met and brings a great commitment to our foundation. Cathy and her spouse of 20 years have lived on the North Shore for the past 11 years and love devoting time and attention to their nieces and nephew.

David Barnard
Son and friend, David joined the committee this past year but has spent the last 6 years helping me fight this disease. He is hard-working, conscientious, and has spent numerous hours this past year giving our website a new and more user friendly face. When not volunteering for the foundation, David loves golfing, surfing and traveling.

Karin Jensen
Neighbour and friend, Karin has become our foundation Web Master. She is organized, detailed and passionate about this cause. When not volunteering with the foundation she loves spending time in the outdoors and traveling.

Paul Goodman
Co-worker and friend, Paul is unbelievably strategic and has incredible vision. He brings to our team organizational skills and many years of community volunteer experience. Paul is a resident of the North Shore and enjoys activities like hiking, kayaking, and running. He is very aware of the need to educate people about the importance of always wearing sunscreen and a hat.

Joanne Bergman
Co-worker and friend, Joanne is one of the reasons this foundation exists. Her high level of energy, drive, and determination is why this foundation will be successful in minimizing the impact of melanoma. When Joanne is not busy working on ideas for the foundation, she can be found enjoying life as a wife to her husband Brad and mother to their three boys, Jeromey, Justin, and Tyler.

Shelley Dodds
Co-worker and friend, Shelley has volunteered for various fundraisers and foundations. She brings with her a positive, cheerful personality and incredible energy and dedication. When not busy volunteering for the foundation, Shelley enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Spencer Barnard
Spencer, for those of you who have read the story elsewhere on this web site, know that he literally saved my life. He is hard-working, energetic, and is passionate about everything the foundation represents. When not volunteering for the foundation, he can be found running marathons, working out or just hanging with his family and fiance. Oh yeah, and he is my son.

Gina Murdock
Co-worker and friend, Gina is kind-hearted, caring and devoted to this cause. She brings with her 17 years of management experience and looks forward to developing new skills in Event Planning and Fundraising for the foundation. Her bright smile and possitive attitude is a great asset to our committee. When not volunteering for the foundation Gina can be found running marathons, at the gym, or home with her fiance.

Put them all together and we are Team SAVE YOUR SKIN.

With our dedication, commitment, and passion, we want to bring awareness to Melanoma and Save Lives.
